Section 1.5 - The Notary Exam

If you have registered for Notary Public 101 Live!, you will be taking the state exam immediately following your class. Please be sure to bring your completed notary application, along with the application fee, a valid form of identification, and a method of payment for the exam fee to the seminar. The exam fee and the application fee are separate from your course fee.

If you are taking the notary public class online or self paced, after you have completed the educational requirement, you must complete your notary application and register for the State notary exam. You will need to bring the following items to the testing center:

• your Proof of Completion Certificate,

• approved identification,

• your completed notary application,

• the notary application fee, and

• payment for your exam.

In other words, you need to bring everything you would need to bring for a live class, in addition to your Proof of Completion Certificate, which was provided to you after successful completion of your self-study.
